American Superconductor FY Q4 Edges Estimates; Shares Gain

American Superconductor (AMSC) this morning posted better-than-expected results for its fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31.

For the quarter, AMSC reported revenue of $87.6 million, up 43% from a year ago, and ahead of the Street at $85 million. Non-GAAP EPS of 18 cents beat Street estimates by two cents.

For the March 2011 fiscal year, the company expects revenue of $415 million to $425 million, with non-GAAP profits of $1.15-$1.20 a share; that is about in line with estimates at $421.7 million and $1.17.

AMSC this morning is up $1.93, or 6.6%, to $31.17.
