According to Engadget, Apple (AAPL) has a new version of Apple TV in the works.
The updated box, according to the blog, will be based on the iPhone 4 OS and the A4 processor, be capable of transmitting full 1080p HD video, and will include 16 GB of flash storage. The blog reports that the device will rely on the cloud for storage, will have no ports other than the power socket and video out, and according to one source is basically “an iPhone without a screen.” The device is supposedly to be priced at just $99.
Engadget reports that the new Apple TV will NOT be announced at the upcoming WWDC.
