(NYSE:LLL) reported an 8% increase in diluted earnings per share (diluted EPS) to $2.24 for the quarter ended September 30, 2011 (2011 third quarter) compared with $2.07 for the quarter ended September 24, 2010 (2010 third quarter). Net sales of $3.8 billion decreased by approximately 1% compared to the 2010 third quarter.
