Here are your Apple rumors and news items for Tuesday:
Personal iPhone Assistant: According to Tech Crunch, a partnership between Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) and Nuance Communications (NASDAQ:NUAN) will be revealed at Apples Worldwide Developer’s Conference in June. The big secret? Apple will include a new personal assistant program for use in the iPad and the next iPhone. In the simplest terms: the iPhone 5 will have a personal assistant app, likely called MobileMe, that understands what you say to it and any documents saved will be stored by Apple rather than on your phone to boost their accessibility.
Adobe Extras: Adobes (NASDAQ:ADBE) recently revealed new tools for its popular Photoshop image-editing app that let users paint with their fingers, mix colors by touch, and reorganize the Photoshop interface respectively, are now available for purchase in the Apple App Store. The rollout of new products in Adobe’s Creative Suite 5 across the spring is an important moment for Apple’s iPad business, as these tools will invite more professionals to adopt the device.
Google Takes Second: The race to debut cloud-based music businesses in the U.S. continues. Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) was first to the market earlier this year when it released CloudPlayer. Peter Kafka reported on Monday that Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) would unveil Google Music on Tuesday, well before Apple could debut its iCloud service. Google may be jumping the gun, however. Android head of digital content and strategy Jamie Rosenberg said that the company is opening the service without the support of a “couple of major [music] labels.”
