Texas Instruments (TXN) is expected to report Q2 earnings after the market close on Tuesday, July 19 with a conference call scheduled for 5:30 pm ET.
GuidanceThe consensus estimate is 62c for EPS and $3.52B for revenue, according to First Call. Its shares have moved higher last week and today along with the bulk of the sector following Intel's (INTC) and Advanced Micro Devices' (AMD) strong results. TI is benefiting from stronger PC demand including the expected bump from the new tablet category. The company raised its forecast for the quarter in June, saying demand is reviving particularly in the industrial sector. The company tightened its guidance to the high-end of the range calling for Q2 EPS of 60c-64c on $3.45B-$3.59B in revenue.
Analyst ViewsWedbush believes that strong order patterns highlighted during TI's mid-quarter update on June 8 continued and even strengthened through the remainder of the quarter.
