Ulticom To Be Acquired By Platinum Equity At $8.07 A Share

Ulticom (ULCM), a manufacturer of signal component products for the telecom sector, this afternoon said it agreed to be acquired by private investment firm Platinum Equity. Holders will get $8.07 a share, including a $5.74 a share cash dividend before the deal, plus $2.33 from Platinum.

The deal is expected to close by the end of the company’s fiscal fourth quarter, which ends in January/

“After a careful and extensive review of our strategic alternatives, our Board of Directors has determined that the premium to the current market price provided by this transaction offers the best value for our stockholders,” CEO� Shawn Osborne said in a statement.

The last transaction in the thinly traded stock was on Monday, at $7.69.
