DeVry Up 5% as Fiscal Q2 Profit Beats; Students Flock to Management School

For-profit education company DeVry (DV), which runs the Apollo College and DeVry University, among others, is up $2.83, or 5%, at $59 this evening after the company reported fiscal Q2 revenue rose 28% to $473 million, yielding profit per share of $1, well ahead of the 83 cents expected. Revenue was boosted by a 22.7% rise in undergraduate enrollment. The Keller Graduate School of Management, moreover, saw a 16.5% rise in enrollment to an all-time record of 20,000 “course takers,” the company said.
